Julie Gay has been a paralegal with the Dionne Schulze law firm since 2023, specializing in the defense of First Nations rights.
She is the firm's sole paralegal, assisting lawyers on a variety of civil litigation files ranging from the Quebec Superior Court to the Supreme Court of Canada. She drafts simple pleadings, conducts research and carries out extra-provincial registrations. She also assists lawyers in various class actions and collective proceedings.
Julie first joined the Canadian Association of Paralegals as a member, then became involved in diversifying the continuing education to ensure that it met members' needs and practices.
Before moving to Canada, she worked as a lawyer in a law firm specializing in business law. She worked with clients in south-west France, Reunion Island and Mayotte. She drafted complex deeds and assisted the founding lawyer on various files.
Julie graduated in France with a double master's degree in business law and management.
